Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In an effort to provide government jobs to the youth, the fifth edition of the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Mela was held on Tuesday. The campaign witnessed programs organized in 45 cities across the country, including Salt Lake. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually handed over appointment letters to 71,000 deserving candidates and addressed them.
In Siliguri, Union Minister Shantanu Thakur, Bengal BJP President Sukant Majumdar, and other dignitaries distributed appointment letters to around 200 candidates for various government departments at the job fair held at EZCC. The event sparked immense joy and happiness among the employed youth, who lauded the central government's initiative.
The Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Mela aims to empower and uplift the youth by providing them with valuable employment opportunities. The virtual interaction with Prime Minister Modi and the distribution of appointment letters have been significant milestones in this nationwide campaign.
